...perhaps you would not mind parking it just a bit off to the side and not in the middle of the sidewalk.  There is a perfectly good bicycle stand right by the curb.  See it?
And perhaps, it may be better to not leave your child unattended sitting in the cargo box, even if it is just for a second.
