For the last few months, Carroll Gardener Kelly Rush has been running all around the neighborhood as she trains for the New York City Marathon, which will take place on November 3rd.
Kelly will be running on behalf of Citymeals-On Wheels, a worthwhile organization that provides homebound elderly New Yorkers with nutritious meals every day.You can help Kelly achieve her goal by donating a small amount to her fundraising effort.
Here is a word from Kelly:
Hello Neighbors!
You may have seen me in shorts and sneakers this summer, scraping a strange peanut butter goo out of a plastic baggie while attempting 15-mile runs. It's all part of my training for the NYC Marathon Nov. 3, which I'm running on behalf of Citymeals-on-Wheels. Citymeals feeds the frail, elderly and homebound all around Brooklyn and throughout the five boroughs. They are amazing, and do vital work here in our city. I've committed to raising $3,000 for them by October 28. Please consider donating to the cause here.
Thanks so much, and if you see me around town, please wave and say hi!!
Kelly Rush
Good luck with both the fundraising and with the run on November 3rd, Kelly.
