This Fall, Carroll Gardens Library Offering A Series Of Workshops For Seniors And Caregivers

This fall, the Carroll Gardens branch of the Brooklyn Public Library is hosting a series of Wednesday workshops geared towards seniors and their caregivers. Below are some dates to mark on your calendar.

-On Wednesday, September 18th, 2013, from 1-2pm, Bassam (Sam) Amin of Wyckoff Corner Pharmacy will give important information and helpful hints about your medication.

-On Wednesday, October 16th, from 1:30- 2:30pm, Jaclyn M. Smith, a registered dietician, will discuss better eating for better health.

-On Wednesday, November 20th, 2013, from 1:30 -2:30, Demonstration and discussion of techniques for senior fitness by Meghan Covington, the owner of Mind Body Fitness, NYC.  She is a Nathional Strength and Conditioning Association certified personal trainer and has a RYT-200 hour Yoga Alliance certification.

-On Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 1:30-2:30, Alison Schoenfeld, occupational therapist at Madison Physical and Occupational Therapy, will teach seniors how to balance their bodies to help prevent falls with easy home suggestions.
