REMINDER: EPA To Hold Two Informational Meetings About Final Plan To Address Gowanus Canal Contamination This Week

Environmental Protection Agency Region 2 will holding two information meetings on two consecutive nights in November to speak about the Record Of Decision (ROD) that was signed and became law in late September.  The ROD represents the blueprint for the clean-up of the heavily polluted 1.8 mile waterway.
According to the agency, "the purpose of the meetings are to discuss the next steps EPA will be taking to address contamination at the Gowanus Canal Superfund site."

The first meeting will be held tonight, November 13th, 2013 at PS 32, 317 Hoyt Street from 6:30 to 9 PM.
The second one will be held on November 14th in Red Hook at the South Brooklyn Community High School, 173 Conover Street.
