If you have a pet, large or small, you might want to bring them by St. Paul's Church this Sunday, October 6th, 2013 for the Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals.
From St Paul's:
The St. Francis Blessing of the Animals is a beloved tradition at St. Paul’s. It is a day that we can share God’s grace with the creatures which have become family and friends to many of us.
On Sunday October 6, 2013 at 4 pm., St. Paul's Episcopal Church & Sacred Hearts- St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church will be holding the annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The blessing will take place at the front entrance of St. Paul’s on Clinton Street. It will be closed off to traffic during the ceremony to insure safety for all. After the blessing there will be treats for the animals in our Parish Hall. All in the community are invited to bring any and all animal members of their family to be blessed.
St. Paul's Church is located at 198 Carroll Street at the corner of Clinton Street.
